Description

A Stunning 1892 Antique KTK Lotus Ware Bone China Orleans Rose Jar w/Raised Filigree Ribbing, BOOK PIECE.  This piece is amazing and so rare to find with no defects!  This piece is featured on page 49 of the "Collector's Encyclopedia of Knowles, Taylor & Knowles China" book by Mary Frank Gaston; and, also on page 69 of the "Knowles, Taylor & Knowles, American Bone China" book by Timothy J. Kearns.  This jar features a bulbous body with circular base & is heavily decorated with raised filigree ribbing throughout the body with raised beaded rim.  The lid has a raised beaded base with raised filigree form & finial top.  This piece is magnificent in both design & decoration!  No defects noted of any kind.
This piece stands 7 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" wide.  Lotus Ware was only made for a short period of time in the late 1800s.  It is considered scarce & highly collectible.  The stamp on the bottom of this piece (see last picture) places this in the 1889 - 1896 production period.
